A true modern-day samurai, Marcio brings a rare depth to his teaching—shaped not only by his competitive achievements, but also by a rich personal journey as a former attorney, musician, and lifelong student of discipline.
His presence on the mat is one of quiet strength and precise guidance. Sensei Marcio leads by example, embodying the values of respect, loyalty, and honor that form the backbone of Temple. His unique background allows him to mentor each student with both technical mastery and emotional depth, forging warriors who carry themselves with integrity—on and off the mat.

MAESTRO JOSE F. CUSPINERA NAVARRO
Self-Defense Master
José F. Cuspinera Navarro is a globally recognized martial arts Grandmaster, educator, and author with over 40 years of experience and a legacy spanning multiple disciplines and continents.
A legend, a master of masters, Cuspinera holds 8th Dan in Jiu Jitsu, 7th Dan in Karate, 5th Dan in Judo, and 3rd Dan in Aikido—recognized by premier martial arts federations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. With over four decades of training, teaching, and leading, his legacy includes more than 30 published books, hundreds of technical articles, and accolades such as “Best Master of Spain” and “Second Best Martial Arts Master in the World.”
A Doctor Honoris Causa in Martial Arts and an expert in high-level protection and international security, he has trained elite forces, VIP bodyguards, and law enforcement across Europe. He currently serves as President of the World Earth Life Confederation of Martial Arts and Self Defense and is a distinguished professor in both economic and security sciences.
His life’s work merges warrior tradition with modern defense, leaving a legacy of excellence, rigor, and respect in every discipline he touches.

SENSEI RICARDO PASSO
6TH DEGREE BLACK BELT
Ricardo Passo 6th degree black belt, formed by the master belt Coral Jorge Pereira. He started in martial arts at the age of 5 with the Judo modality and at the age of 13, he joined Thai Boxing, with master Marcos Ruas, at the Corpore São Conrado academy in Rio de Janeiro. In 1983, at the age of 14, he began his trajectory in Jiu-jitsu at Condominio Nova Ipanema with master Jorge Pereira. He started training and grew up with some Jiu-Jitsu icons at the time.
His dedication and commitment meant that in a short time, he became the first monitor at the Jorge Pereira academy, being responsible for teaching the team when Pereira was not present. He fought several championships and acquired several titles in the category and also in the absolute category (where there is no weight limit).
He was the first fighter to be part of the front line of the Jorge Pereira academy, facing several challenges from other martial arts within the academy itself. During these years he taught at several other academies, including: Clube Nova Ipanema, Colégio Anglo Americano (Nova Ipanema), Esplanada 1, Esplanada 2, Condomínio Village São Conrado, Academia Marathon, Academia Oficina do Corpo, Wander Braga BJJ, TFT Team.
